You can drive using IDL and contry DL not more than 1 year after You cross the border. This is requirment for all IDL.

Hi I was pulled over bu cops in New Jersey and got ticket for having International Driver s licence from my country Georgia which is issued by government. I had to go to court and pay fine almost $400. they told me if I live in New Jersey I should have NJ DL. Law requires. I have question, if I get this DL can I drive in New jersey?
